Reality Check on implementation aspects of Horizon Europe Webinar

As part of the European Commission’s approach to better implementation and simplification, the Commission’s Research and Innovation Directorate-General is organising a Reality Check on implementation aspects of Horizon Europe, the EU’s research and innovation Framework Programme.
The online event will take place on 23 September 2025 from 10:00 to 12:00 Brussels time.
This Reality Check will focus on practical experience with Horizon Europe, aiming to collect feedback on implementation from external stakeholders and identify opportunities for simplification. It will take the form of a virtual round table, featuring a panel of researchers/innovators with extensive experience across the three main pillars of Horizon Europe. The Commission services will be primarily in listening mode. It will also follow up on specific aspects raised at the Implementation Dialogue with Commissioner Zaharieva on 16 September 2025, for discussion in more technical detail.
Researchers and innovators who are (potential) applicants and beneficiaries of Horizon Europe, together with stakeholder organisations representing them (for example, universities, research centres, industry, National Contact Points, etc.) are the target audience.
The programme will start at 10:00 with a Welcome and Introduction session with Matthias Will, Director Common Implementation Centre, DG Research and Innovation, European Commission. Then will follow the following sessions:
- 10:05
