Webinar 14/11 – The Use of AI in Traffic Management

Artificial Intelligence is rapidly transforming the way traffic is managed, monitored, and optimized across Europe. Yet, key questions remain – how can AI be deployed responsibly in critical infrastructure? How can innovation balance efficiency, safety, and citizens’ rights? This webinar will explore these crucial questions by bringing together experts from research, industry, and city networks to discuss the latest AI-driven solutions in traffic management.
The discussion will open with insights from VICOMTECH, a leading applied R&D&I organisation, followed by perspectives from two EU-funded projects, ACUMEN and DELPHI, focusing on AI tools for multimodal traffic management and drone-based data collection.Industry innovators Hayden AI and Valerann will present how AI enhances public transport safety, accessibility, and real-time incident detection. POLIS will offer the city-level perspective on AI deployment in urban mobility. Traffic information leaders TomTom and Be-Mobile will showcase how AI enables smarter travel and traffic insights for users. Finally, 28Digital will reflect on the broader implications of AI-based innovation in the transport and mobility ecosystem.
