CCAM Association welcomes the Joint EU Vision on R&I for the Technological Competitiveness of the EU Automotive Sector

Through fruitful collaboration between our association, CCAM, and our key partners, EGVIAfor2Zero, BEPA, EUCAR, and CLEPA, and the European Commission, a joint vision on the future direction of research and innovation in the automotive sector has just been published.

This shared vision paves the way for technological research and innovation efforts needed to achieve a green and digital transition, including electrification, Software- Design architectures, and AI. These efforts must be coordinated to support the competitiveness and leadership of the European automotive industry. This will result in job protection, positive growth, and environmental protection.

To secure Europe’s sovereignty and leadership in key technologies, our industry must strengthen its position through greater value creation. Achieving this requires a coordinated strategy of private and public investment. The European automotive ecosystem must coordinate R&I investments, drive technological transformation, and strengthen Europe’s strategic autonomy.
