European Commission launches Call for Evidence on the future of Joint Undertakings

The European Commission has launched a Call for Evidence on the future of European Partnerships implemented as Joint Undertakings under Horizon Europe.
As preparations begin for the next EU Framework Programme 2028-2034, this consultation offers an important opportunity for stakeholders to contribute to the discussion on how Joint Undertakings can continue to evolve and deliver impact.
For the CCAM community, European Partnerships play an important role in bringing together industry, research organisations, public authorities and other stakeholders around shared strategic priorities. They support long-term collaboration, help align investments, and contribute to Europe’s competitiveness, resilience and leadership in the green and digital transitions.
The consultation invites feedback on how these partnerships can be further strengthened, including in terms of coherence, governance, efficiency and impact.
All organisations involved in or benefiting from European Partnerships are encouraged to share their views and help shape the future direction of these partnerships, ensuring they continue to deliver strong value for Europe’s research and innovation ecosystem.
The feedback period is open until 14 July 2026.
