The OPTIPEX project recently contributed to the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society – Europe Chapter (HFES Europe) Annual Meeting 2026, held from 22–24 April 2026, by presenting two scientific posters focused on human factors aspects of future mobility systems.

Human factors and ergonomics play a critical role in the successful adoption of connected, cooperative, and automated mobility solutions. As transport systems evolve, understanding user needs, behaviour, acceptance, and interaction with emerging technologies becomes increasingly important. Through its research activities, OPTIPEX contributes to ensuring that future mobility services are not only technologically advanced but also safe, efficient, and user-centred.

The two posters presented at HFES Europe 2026 highlight ongoing research and demonstrate the project’s commitment to advancing knowledge on human interaction with innovative mobility solutions. Disseminating results through international scientific events provides valuable opportunities to engage with researchers, industry experts, and stakeholders working at the intersection of mobility, ergonomics, and human-centred design.

The participation of OPTIPEX in HFES Europe reflects the project’s broader objective of generating evidence-based insights that support the deployment of future mobility systems while considering the needs and expectations of users. By sharing findings with the scientific community, the project contributes to strengthening collaboration and knowledge exchange across Europe.

The posters presented at the conference, together with additional publications and dissemination materials produced by the project, are available through the OPTIPEX Publications page.
