PACT for Europe Forum on Autonomous Vehicles in Public Transport in Europe

Stakeholders from the Autonomous Vehicle (AV), public transport and mobility sectors are invited to join the PACT for Europe Kick-Off Ecosystem Dialogue, taking place in Paris on 7 October, to discuss the pathway towards large-scale deployment of automated vehicles and the role of public transport in strengthening Europe’s competitiveness.

The event marks the launch of PACT for Europe (Public Authorities Collaborating on Transport Automation for Europe), a forum bringing together pioneering cities, regions, transport authorities and European associations to accelerate the transition from automated vehicle pilot projects to large-scale deployment in public transport systems across Europe.

The forum seeks to clarify the needs and ambitions of competent authorities, establish a common vision and roadmap for deployment across frontrunner regions, and strengthen dialogue between public authorities, industry stakeholders and policymakers at both Member State and EU level. PACT for Europe is aligned with the Large-Scale Cross-Border Testbeds for Automated Vehicles initiative of EU Member States and the European Commission, as well as other national and pan-European deployment initiatives.

The in-person dialogue in Paris will bring together representatives from public authorities, the AV supplier and automotive industries, transport operators, and policy organisations. The discussions will provide an opportunity for participating authorities to articulate their shared needs and ambitions while engaging directly with industry and policy stakeholders on the future deployment of automated transport solutions in Europe.

The event will take place on Wednesday, 7 October, from 08:30 to 13:00 at the Auditorium of the Ministry of Ecological Transition, Sequoia Tower, La Défense, Paris.

Interested stakeholders are invited to register their interest by 23 September. Participation will be confirmed within a few days following registration.
