CCAM afternoon with 2 interactive sessions
July 4, 2023
During the CCAM Association General Assembly meeting held on July 4th in Brussels, two interactive sessions took place in the afternoon, following the administrative proceedings.
The primary focus of the first session revolved around the criteria necessary for the success of upcoming large-scale CCAM demonstrations. This discussion was based on the ERTRAC CCAM WG roadmap addendum, which worked and analysed various use cases.
Working in groups, participants engaged in thoughtful discussions and reflections regarding the specific problems that CCAM services could address and solve. They explored aspects such as potential beneficiaries, willingness to pay, and the overall impact on People, Planet, and Profit.
The identified use cases were categorized into four main topics:
- Connected and Cooperative Services
- Highway
- Parking and Confined Areas
- Urban traffic for people and goods
These use cases were further analyzed in terms of the potential scale of demonstrations, depending on the stage of technology, whether it was still in the research, development, or innovation phase.
