CEF Transport 2023 Calls
The 2023 CEF Transport calls for proposals is a substantial EUR 7 billion budget allocation for initiatives to enhance and expand European transportation infrastructure.
These initiatives, once funded, will play a pivotal role in elevating the sustainability of the trans-European transport network, aligning with the EU’s ambitious goal outlined in the European Green Deal – namely, reducing transport emissions by a remarkable 90% by the year 2050.
These calls for proposals align seamlessly with the European Commission’s forward-looking vision for a sustainable transport ecosystem. This vision seeks to introduce intelligent and resilient solutions that seamlessly interconnect Europe.
The scope of these calls extends across the Core and Comprehensive TEN-T networks, covering the following areas:
- Railways
- Inland waterways
- Maritime and inland ports
- Road safety
- Rail-road terminals
- Multimodal logistics platforms
- Multimodal passenger hubs
- Smart and interoperable transport applications
- Safe and secure mobility
- Infrastructure resilience

An Info Day on the CEF Transport call will occur on 10 October from 10.00 – 16.00 CEST. The format will be online. The registrations close on 9 October @ 12:00 CEST
