EUROPEAN MOBILITY WEEK 2026: Mobility for Everyone

From 16–22 September 2026, cities, organisations and citizens across Europe will come together for EUROPEAN MOBILITY WEEK, the European Union’s flagship awareness-raising campaign promoting sustainable urban mobility. The 2026 edition continues the theme“Mobility for Everyone”, with a special focus on intergenerational fairness, highlighting the diverse mobility needs and challenges experienced by people at different stages of life.

The campaign encourages cities and stakeholders to explore innovative mobility solutions, test new approaches to cleaner transport, and promote more accessible, inclusive and sustainable mobility systems. By bringing together local authorities, businesses, schools, NGOs and citizens, it provides a platform for collaboration, experimentation and knowledge sharing in support of Europe’s sustainable transport goals.

The 2026 theme emphasises the importance of creating transport systems that serve current and future generations alike, ensuring equitable access to mobility regardless of age, income, location, gender or abilities. Activities throughout the week will showcase initiatives that improve accessibility, safety and sustainability while encouraging a shift towards cleaner transport options.

For the CCAM community, the event also represents an opportunity to highlight innovative solutions that can contribute to safer, more efficient and more inclusive mobility networks. Relevant initiatives, demonstrations and discussions are expected to showcase how digitalisation, automation and user-centred mobility services can support the transition towards sustainable transport systems that benefit all generations.
