Hi-Drive Topical Webinar Series starting in October

Leading into the Hi-Drive Final Event on 25 November, the Hi-Drive project is launching a Topical Webinar Series with the first session taking place on Friday 10 Ocotber 2025.
This session will present key research outcomes from the Hi-Drive project, focusing on Technological Enablers (Tech Enablers) – integrated hardware and software modules that enhance the capabilities of state-of-the-art Automated Driving Functions (ADFs). By addressing challenges across perception, decision-making, and actuation, these enablers aim to reduce ODD fragmentation and ensure seamless continuity in automated driving.
AGENDA
Technology Enablers for Vehicle Automation
Machine Learning for Perception
- LiDAR Landmark-Based Object Detection – Enhancing object localization using reference points.
- Highway Driving Scenario Recognition – Real-time classification of highway scenes.
- Pedestrian Intention Prediction – Predictive algorithms to anticipate pedestrian actions.
Machine Learning for Driver Monitoring
- Driver Distraction Detection – Classifying states of driver inattention.
- Driver Readiness Monitoring – Assessing whether a driver is prepared to resume control.
Machine Learning for Decision Making
- Trajectory Planning for On-Ramp Merging – Generating trajectories in highway merging scenarios.
- Autonomous Parking Agent – A Reinforcement Learning solution for fully automated parking maneuvers.
Data Annotation for Machine Learning
- Data Annotation Tool Demonstration – Showcasing efficient generation of labeled datasets.
