Join the European Connected and Autonomous Vehicle Alliance (ECAVA)

In its Industrial Action Plan for the European Automotive Sector of March 2025 the European Commission has announced to establish the European Connected and Autonomous Vehicle Alliance (ECAVA) in 2025.
We are happy to inform you that the ECAVA Terms of Reference have now been published and the application process has opened: European Connected and Autonomous Vehicle Alliance (ECAVA) | Shaping Europe’s digital future.
The next three years are considered decisive for the survival of the European automotive sector. Recently, we have seen a gear-shift in the interest and willingness for European automotive industry to collaborate with relevant stakeholders on technological innovation related to digital solutions for the automotive sector, including on autonomous driving, also through EU funded projects such as those funded under the CCAM Partnership umbrella.
This level of cooperation would have been unthinkable a few years ago. But more action is needed to regain technology leadership. The EU, Member States, and industry must raise their ambition. Successful collaboration in the Software-defined Vehicle ecosystem and on automotive hardware platforms can be a role-model for other areas, such as AI models and solution, data sharing, and autonomous driving.
To this end, ECAVA aims at becoming a lean and effective industry-led discussion and advisory forum to provide strategic guidance for technological developments and cooperation between automotive stakeholders in both European and global markets.
To be part of this transformative initiative, the European Commission invites you, if eligible, to submit your application via the public call.
