The CCAM Association is pleased to welcome Sergio Fernandes as its new Head of Office

In his new role, Sergio will oversee the daily operations of the Association, coordinate communications activities, strengthen member engagement and support strategic collaboration with the European Commission in the framework of the CCAM Partnership under Horizon Europe. He will also manage the Brussels office, lead the secretariat team, ensure administrative and financial continuity and contribute to long-term strategic thinking for the future Automotive Partnership under the next Framework Programme (2028–2035).
Sergio brings more than a decade of experience in EU public affairs, association management and strategic advisory. Before joining CCAM, he spent five years working as an independent consultant specialising in digital and environmental policies, supporting several European industry organisations on lobbying strategy, legislative monitoring and institutional engagement. Previously, he spent nearly ten years in a major French EU public affairs consultancy, where he ultimately served as Manager of the Brussels Office, overseeing operations, client portfolios and a multidisciplinary team.
Originally from France, his academic path reflects this same European focus: two Master’s degrees from Sciences Po Aix, one in European Applied Policies and one in European Affairs and International Relations, along with a Bachelor’s in Political Science and an academic exchange at Lund University in Sweden. He speaks English, French, Spanish and Portuguese fluently.
Sergio is looking forward to contributing to the CCAM Association’s mission, working closely with members and supporting the development of innovative, sustainable and collaborative mobility solutions across Europe.
