ITS: The Game Changer

With the theme ITS: The Game Changer, the ITS European Congress, organised by ERTICO – ITS Europe and the European Commission, will showcase the latest technologies adopted by the Lisbon Region, host of the event, together with all the available ITS services and solutions in Europe.

The sheer speed and scope of ITS, propelled by technological developments and social and environmental needs, are unprecedented. ITS has already made transportation much more efficient, demand-responsive and safe. And more is to come. The innovative potential of ITS is too vast to foretell our mobile future. ITS, The Game Changer, will keep changing the game.

The ITS European Congress 2023 aims to motivate all companies and organisations from the broad spectrum of the ITS ecosystem to play a role in the ongoing development of smart mobility.

Presentations, Demonstrations and state-of-the-art Exhibition under one roof! Valuable knowledge source and showcase of the latest innovations

The Congress will offer delegates an exciting opportunity to hear from some of the most influential members of the ITS Community on the latest ITS technologies and new mobility concepts. This year’s line-up of invited High-Level Speakers will explore and challenge current thinking, pushing forward new ideas in smart mobility and game-changing technologies.

The three-day congress includes a high-level programme, plenary sessions, research and technical presentations, Partner exhibition, social events, and live demonstrations. It also features a Smart Mobility Summit for cities and regions, including a keynote address by Torsten Klimke, Head of the Innovation and Research Unit at the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Mobility and Transport.

A plenary session entirely dedicated to CCAM technologies will be held on 23 May. It will attempt to answer whether and how CCAM can be a game changer for the Green Deal. Cities, public transportation operators, OEMs, and policymakers will be represented on the panel.
