CCAM States Representatives Group (SRG) in Budapest!

SRG in Budapest - November 2024

The CCAM States Representatives Group (SRG) gathered for 2 days in Budapest (Hungary).

On the first day, CCAM SRG members had an opportunity to visit the innovative AVL ZalaZONE Proving Ground. This visit was significant as it provided a firsthand experience of unique ADAS and Smart City testing facilities. The day after, the local stakeholders presented progress from ongoing CCAM initiatives in Hungary, as well as their plans, among others, for 2025 and CCAM operations in Budapest. Their dedication to advancing CCAM not only benefits their region but also contributes significantly to the broader goals of the European mobility landscape.

On the second day, the CCAM SRG meeting took place, gathering representatives from EU Member States and countries associated with the Horizon Europe programme. The event was organised under the framework of the Hungarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

We extend our congratulations to Tereza Čížková from the Czech Republic for her re-election as the CCAM SRG Chair, marking her second 2-year mandate.

During the meeting, representatives from 16 countries participated and discussed the groups’ future priorities in bridging CCAM R&I at national and EU levels, as well as strategies for maintaining the group’s activity. Societal readiness was identified as one of the promising topics for the future of CCAM. It was emphasised that keeping SRG members informed about the results of the CCAM Partnership projects is crucial moving forward.

The involvement of public authorities is imperative for CCAM because such technology and its associated services cannot be deployed on public roads without authorities’ engagement and action.

Mark your agenda down: The first CCAM SRG Meeting of 2025 will take place in Poland in the first half of the year.
